VOLUNTEERS ONLY follow these easy steps:
Complete the application form below, pay your $40 donation to defray our costs, then print the ICHAT background check form PRIOR to your training and bring the completed form to your training. (ICHAT background form for ages 18 and older)

Attend orientation/training as scheduled by your mentor. See what we are doing for NE Michigan! Visit our facility, meet the staff, ask questions and meet our horses! This is a great time to see if this would be a good fit for you.

Thank you for your interest in working or volunteering for Pegasus Springs Therapeutic Riding Center!

It takes a community of heartfelt people with the willingness to give of their time to support a non-profit organization such as Pegasus Springs. With so many people needing the healing services we provide, it takes three times that in dedicated volunteers. Minimum age is 14 years, and you must be physically able to carry out the tasks of almost everything we need help with, including your ability to lift up to 50#, such as saddles and hay bales; walk/jog in a sand-filled arena, among other duties.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN!! MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF 18

Due to the nature of the services we provide to children and adults with physical, emotional or cognitive disabilities, we require a background check before you can work/volunteer with us. CLICK HERE TO PRINT a copy of PAGE ONE ONLY of Central Registry Clearance Request form to complete for your background check. You can mail it back to us, or bring it out to the center.
