Each of our retreats offer skills to offer your child personal growth and instill self-confidence while learning horsemanship or about nature. We set up teams during camp, so all can make new friends and learn about team-building. Our Horse Retreats are a terrific way to get your child into horseback riding at a savings over typical private lessons. Weather pending, campers will ride at least once a day, sometimes twice daily. Arts & Crafts and other activities fill the days around horses. A yummy (peanut free) lunch and snack is included each day. Our Wild & Unplugged Day Camp does not involve horses. Hours are 10:00am - 3:00pm each day, Monday through Wednesday.

HORSEMANSHIP - NO RIDING THIS YEAR, only unmounted Equine Assisted Learning. This is an intensive program teaching all about horses, their behavior, caring for, leading and ground work and is a pre-requisite for our 2023 Riding Camps. In this 3-day camp, participants will learn how to groom, lead and learn ground work. Herd observation and horse behavior is learned and how it relates to our lives. Other activities include horse crafts, parts of the horse, feeding, watering and other care related topics. Campers will build friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Pegasus Springs has beautiful trails on property that we will hike and an outdoor arena to work with the horses. Attendees must wear shoes with a closed toe and a heel, long pants and dress for the weather. Caps are encouraged. A nut-free lunch will be provided each day, including chips, a snack and water & lemonade. Please bring bug spray and sunscreen. A signed waiver is required the first day.
